Reunion: The 50th Anniversary Celebration of the 442nd (film)

Television program documenting the week of events that took place in Honolulu, Hawai'i, commemorating the 50th anniversary of the 442nd Regimental Combat Team . The hour-long program produced by JN Productions aired on April 29, 1993 on Oceanic Cable in Hawai'i and on May 9, 1993 on KHNL Honolulu.

Reunion includes TV news style segments on a wide range of events and topics that took place during the reunion on the week on March 23, 1993. These include commendations from both houses of the Hawaii State Legislature; preparations and planning for the reunion; the arrival of a delegation from areas of France liberated by the 442nd; the luau and golf tournament; special displays that were set up at Kapi'olani Community College and the Hawaii Army Museum; the Aloha Banquet at the Sheraton Waikiki; the commemorative coin minted for the events; the Sons & Daughters organization; the Sayonara Banquet, the memorial service at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific at Punchbowl; and the culminating parade in Waikiki. Uncredited male and female voices narrate the program, which includes numerous interviews with veterans and their families and other well-wishers, many of whom are also unidentified. Excerpts of speeches from many of the events are also included.

A copy of the video is held as part of the "Japanese American Veterans Collection" at the University of Hawai'i at Mānoa.
