In 1997, cast member Mike Hagiwara produced performances of the play at other venues in Los Angeles and other parts of California and Washington in subsequent years. The original cast—Jason Fong, Keiko Kashiwagi, Darrell Kunitomi, and Janice Terukina, in addition to Hagiwara—retired from the show in 2000 after a series of performances in Honolulu. JANM introduced a new cast in Los Angeles that year and reprised the show two more times. After a four year hiatus, they revived the show again in 2006. In 2011, Honolulu's Kumu Kahua Theatre produced its version of the show, which also traveled to the Maui Arts &amp; Cultural Center in January 2012.\n </p>\n <div id=\"authorByline\">\n <b>\n Authored by\n <a class=\"encyc notrg\" href=\"https://encyclopedia.densho.org/wiki/Brian_Niiya\" title=\"Brian Niiya\">\n Brian Niiya\n </a>\n , Densho\n </b>\n </div>\n <div id=\"citationAuthor\" style=\"display:none;\">\n Niiya, Brian\n </div>\n <div id=\"RelatedArticlesDisplay\">\n <div class=\"section\" id=\"Related_Articles\">\n <h2>\n <span class=\"mw-headline\" id=\"Related_Articles\">\n Related Articles\n </span>\n </h2>\n <div class=\"section_content\">\n <p class=\"mw-empty-elt\">\n </p>\n <div id=\"RelatedArticlesSectionDisplay\">\n <div class=\"section\" id=\"\">\n <h3>\n <span class=\"mw-headline\" id=\"\">\n </span>\n </h3>\n <div class=\"section_content\">\n <p class=\"mw-empty-elt\">\n </p>\n <ul>\n <li>\n <a class=\"encyc notrg\" href=\"https://encyclopedia.densho.org/wiki/Plays_on_incarceration\" title=\"Plays on incarceration\">\n Plays on incarceration\n </a>\n </li>\n </ul>\n </div>\n </div>\n </div>\n </div>\n </div>\n </div>\n</div>\n",
