Maidment tells the Japanese American story largely through these three families, along with other experts such as a sociologist\n  <a class=\"encyc notrg\" href=\"https://encyclopedia.densho.org/wiki/Harry_Kitano\" title=\"Harry Kitano\">\n   Harry H.L.
